General Manager, Slalom Boston
Russell Norris is an experienced executive with nearly 30 years working in the consulting industry. He has been a dynamic and proven leader as the General Manager of Slalom’s Boston Market, a market he started himself and has grown to an established business serving many clients in 10 years with over 400 consultants in the office. Since 2015, the Slalom Boston office has been recognized by The Boston Globe as a Top Place to Work and the Boston Business Journal as a Best Place to Work, and recently named a top place to work for Diversity. Slalom has also been listed by Fortune as a 100 Best Companies to Work for. Prior to Slalom, Russell was a Senior Partner at Accenture, where he led key strategic initiatives for Accenture and his clients in the Financial Services industry. He led Global Strategies for their Life Insurance Practice, ran the Insurance eCommerce business, key businesses in underwriting and speed to market for the Insurance Industry.
Russell has also been recognized as a leader in the Boston community where he has been heavily involved on the Executive Board for Junior Achievement of Northern New England and served as a member of the Dana-Farber Leadership Council, formally as the Co-Chairman. He also serves on the board of the Sunday River Ski and Snowboard Club, raising funds for athlete scholarships and mountain improvements.
Russell is married to Jamie Norris, with three children. They spend their free time in the mountains and lakes of Maine.
Russell is known for his authentic and charismatic leadership style and has been nominated for several local leadership awards. He is an outspoken advocate for change and plays an active role in leading the way around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
