JESSICA ESPIRITUSANTO
Parker Hill/Fenway
As the Housing Search and Advocacy Program Manager at Fenway Health, Jessica is working to end homelessness using a Housing First model. Her aunt, an ABCD employee, encouraged her to apply to ABCD SummerWorks in 2003. Jessica’s internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital launched her career in health and human services.
She volunteered with the ABCD Parker Hill/Fenway Neighborhood Service Center to help clients access the COVID vaccine. Volunteers helped make the process relaxed and stress free by offering transportation, streamlined registration, group visits and a direct point of contact for scheduling. No lines for seniors was another perk. The smiles on clients’ faces and the sense of relief and appreciation upon arrival at the clinic for their vaccinations truly made all the hard work worthwhile for Jessica.
Jessica recently bought her first home, and she enjoys spending time with family and traveling when she’s not working or volunteering with ABCD. She said, “I am grateful and proud to be recognized as a community hero by ABCD, an organization that has done so much to empower individuals and families.”
