Aisha Necoechea

Workforce Development (ET&Y)

“Training alone isn’t enough to help someone successfully enter and remain in the workforce,” explained Executive Director of BEST Hospitality Aisha Necoechean. “Our partnership with ABCD’s Workforce Development program provides an invaluable service to hospitality professionals by helping them gain the skills and support they need to access quality union jobs in Boston's hospitality industry — jobs that provide family-sustaining wages, benefits and opportunities for long-term career growth.”

Working with ABCD Vice President of Workforce Development Ron Marlow, allowed Aisha to witness ABCD’s commitment to connecting individuals with the resources and opportunities needed to move forward, and as a result said that she is, “honored to be nominated as an ABCD Community Hero based on the partnership between ABCD and BEST Hospitality Training. BEST chose to partner with ABCD to incorporate supportive services into our workforce development model. Now our job seekers have access to additional support while focusing on completing their training and preparing for employment.”

Aisha enjoys spending time with family and friends in Medford, and being there for her kids as they navigate school and sports activities. “I feel very fortunate that our organization allows me the flexibility to be fully present for my family while also doing work that I care deeply about.”
