South End​

A South End resident for several decades, Robert has spent a large portion of his life working as a connector. As President of the Claremont Neighborhood Association (CNA) he has supported fundraising for Union Church's Food Pantry, helped distribute backpacks at Titus Sparrow Park, and collected clothing for Boston Health Care for the Homeless's HER Program. He also serves as Treasurer of the Cooper Community Center and the South End Historical Society and helped establish the District 7 Community Fund and the Mass Ave Coalition.

Working with the South End NSC Director Fanny Cai, Robert has built a strong partnership between CNA and ABCD rooted in collaboration, trust, and information sharing.

Robert is especially proud of helping form the Mass Ave Coalition, which unites five neighborhood associations through a free fall festival and holiday wreaths along Massachusetts Avenue. "When you connect people to one another, you create opportunities for a stronger community," he says.

A consultant after 40-plus years in supply chain, finance, and IT at Gillette and Procter & Gamble, Robert loves travel, architecture, and geography.
