Gisella DiPaola is Senior Vice President of Retail Banking at Eagle Bank. She leads  financial literacy workshops at ABCD’s ESOL program. Her workshops focus on financial education, fraud and exploitation awareness — particularly among seniors who are often the target of these crimes. “Financial literacy and education empower our seniors with the knowledge and confidence they need to protect their financial independence and well-being,” she said.

She was aware of  ABCD due to its strong presence in Greater Boston, and was later invited to the North End/West End Friday lunches to discuss how she and the Bank could help advance ABCD’s mission. “I would absolutely encourage everyone to find a way to volunteer in their community. Giving your time, sharing your knowledge, making a connection, or simply being there for someone can have an impact,” Gisella explained.

She continued, “I am honored and humbled to be named an ABCD Community Hero! My efforts are possible thanks to Eagle Bank’s belief in the importance of giving back to organizations that work together every day to strengthen our communities.” 

Gisella lives in Revere and enjoys spending time with her husband, their daughter and her  “furry” little girl, Milly, a three-year old golden doodle.
